Programme Overview

The Bliss Care Summer Internship is designed to provide young people (aged 16+) with a meaningful work experience in the social care sector. It combines hands-on learning with leadership, business awareness, and real-world exposure to the lives of older adults and how a care home is operated.

*Limited to 5 interns only.

Programme Aims

– Provide real-world exposure to working in a professional care setting

– Develop empathy and understanding of the elderly

– Build leadership, communication, and planning skills

– Engage in delivering meaningful activities to residents

– Learn basic business, project management, and marketing concepts

Duration & Commitment

– Dates: 5th August – 29th August

– Schedule: 3–5 days/week, 4 hours/day

– Minimum Commitment: 12 sessions to achieve the certificate

  • Week 1 – Orientation & Elderly Care Insight
  • Week 2 – Activity Delivery & Planning
  • Week 3 – Leadership & Business in Care
  • Week 4 – Marketing & Presentation

Safeguarding & Supervision

  • Always supervised by staff
  • No personal care, moving, or medication tasks
