Our Journey

1997 - 2010

The Beginning

Issac grew up in Kerala, India, where caring for family members from an early age helped shape his values of compassion, resilience and service to others. Issac completed his nursing degree before moving to the UK. At the age of 18, he met his wife, Meghana, while studying nursing.

Migration to the UK

Issac and Meghana moved to the UK in 2010 and 2011. They began their careers in the care home sector as Care Assistants in West Sussex. After completing the NMC adaptation program, they both became registered nurses in the UK.

02

2011 - 2018

Management Career

Issac worked his way up to become the Manager of a dementia specialist nursing home in West Sussex. He was driven by a commitment to constant self-development, completing an NVQ Level 5 in Adult Residential Management as well as an MBA in Health Care Leadership from Canterbury Christ Church University, all while working full-time as a Care Home Manager. He became passionate about learning CQC regulations and improving care practices. In 2018, his team achieved an Outstanding rating from the CQC in all five domains, making it one of the top nursing homes in England. At that time, only six nursing homes in the country received this distinction.

2018-2022

Consultancy Career

During this time, Issac and Meghana got married and became parents to two beautiful girls. Issac left his secure job to make a greater impact in the social care sector. He authored a best-selling book on improving care homes and conducted inspections and audits of many facilities. Additionally, he supported numerous struggling care homes across England and mentored many care home managers and business owners, helping them to achieve their best.

2022

Birth of Bliss Care

Issac, Meghana, and their young children relocated to Torquay to acquire their first care home, Aveland Court Care Home, which was on the verge of closure due to CQC (Care Quality Commission) issues. In February 2022, Issac registered as the Care Manager to help prevent the closure. Bliss Care took over the facility in September 2022. The current leadership team has been developed from within, ensuring a strong understanding of our ethos and values. Aveland Court received a “Good” rating from the CQC just three months after the takeover, improving from its previous rating of “Inadequate.”
