Rakesh began his career in adult social care as a Care Assistant, progressing through dedication, hard work, and a genuine passion for supporting others to become Home Manager. Before joining the care sector, he worked as a Physical Education teacher, where he developed the leadership, teamwork, and communication skills that continue to shape his approach today. Rakesh is passionate about creating a warm, supportive environment where residents receive outstanding care and staff feel valued and empowered. Outside of work, he enjoys playing basketball and spending time keeping active.

Residents enjoy a varied programme of activities based on their interests and abilities, including arts and crafts, music, gardening, baking, community outings, themed events and social activities. We encourage residents to remain connected with the local community and continue doing the things they enjoy.

Yes. Family and friends are always welcome at Lorna House. We believe maintaining meaningful relationships is essential to wellbeing and encourage loved ones to remain actively involved in residents’ lives. Families are also invited to join celebrations and special events throughout the year.
